Viettel Dominicana is the newest mobile network operator entering the Dominican market. We are a subsidiary of Viettel Group, Vietnam's largest telecommunications and technology corporation, which today serves more than 110 million customers across markets in Asia, Africa, and the Americas.
Job Responsibility
- Request KMZ files from the provinces to prepare route designs; control and review the conditions of the new route deployment plan. (20%)
- Prepare technical files for permit applications for aerial/underground cable routes, pole installation and standalone transmission sites. (30%)
- Submit no-objection files from local authorities/DPU and MOPC, and apply for INTRANT permits; pay the fee of RD$500/day/lane/work front. (25%)
- Report file status to the provinces; store received permits on the system. (15%)
- Review conditions to stay on plan, report results, propose solutions when risks arise. (10%)
Job Requirement
(1) Knowledge and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electronics or related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, Visio
- Knowledge of MS Project
- Basic knowledge of telecom infrastructure and fiber optics
- Negotiation
- Reading KMZ/Google Earth
- Experience: at least 1 year
- Competencies: Teamwork; Proactiveness; Handling high pressure; Organization: planning, goal setting, analysis; Effective verbal and written communication
(2) Problem solving: Follow the plan, analyze and detect potential issues; follow the Manager's direction.
(3) Accountability: Report on deployment execution and the route permit application strategy; Participate in the new national infrastructure project; Risks: Failure to complete deployment on time, penalties from the government, customers or the company's business plan.
(4) Other requirements: Native Spanish; basic English (template value TOEIC 650); Nationality: Dominican.
