[Tiempo Completo] Employee Relations Specialist en Viettel Dominicana

Bandera de República Dominicana
N/A

1. WHAT YOU WILL PARTICIPATE IN

•      Build the employee relations framework from zero — internal work rules (Reglamento Interior de Trabajo), code of conduct, and disciplinary and grievance procedures — in line with the Dominican Labor Code (Law No. 16-92).

•      Act as the first point of contact for employee concerns, grievances, and workplace conflicts; conduct fair and well-documented investigations and recommend resolutions.

•      Advise managers on performance, conduct, and disciplinary matters — warnings, suspensions, and terminations (eviction, dismissal, resignation) — ensuring due process and correct calculation of severity entitlements (employment benefits).

•      Ensure compliance with labor and social-security obligations — employment contracts, working hours, overtime, leave, Christmas salary, profit sharing, and registration with the TSS under Law No. 87-01.

•      Manage the relationship with the Ministry of Labor — filings, notifications, labor inspections, and conciliation hearings — and coordinate with Legal and external counsel on labor claims.

•      Develop HR policies and the employee handbook, and train managers and staff on policies, conduct, and respectful-workplace standards.

•       Support employee engagement, internal communication, and recognition programs that build a positive culture through the launch phase.

•      Support onboarding and offboarding for a fast-growing workforce, including exit interviews and attrition analysis.

•      Track employee relations metrics — grievances, disciplinary cases, turnover, and absenteeism — and report insights and risks to local management and Viettel Global headquarters.

2. REQUIREMENT

•      A minimum of 4 years' experience in employee relations, HR generalist, or labor-law roles, with hands-on ownership of investigations, disciplinary cases, and terminations.

•      Bilingual in English and Spanish — working proficiency.

•      Strong working knowledge of the Dominican Labor Code and social-security rules, and experience dealing with the Ministry of Labor.

•      Experience in telecommunications, technology, or another fast-growing organization; experience with a greenfield or market-entry set-up is a strong plus.

•      A degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
